Coyuchi's organic cotton sateen duvet covers are reversible, woven with a Coyuchi sateen weave, and are silk-like to the touch. Made with 100% certified, fair trade organic cotton, these linens are free of synthetics and toxic chemicals. These particular cotton sateen duvet covers are non-pleated – however, Coyuchi offers pleated organic cotton sateen duvet covers for our customers who prefer the added decorative element of horizontal bands.
These Coyuchi sateen duvet covers are made from 100% organic cotton, certified by Control Union Certifiers of the Netherlands, GOTS and ECOCERT of France. They are also Fair trade certified every step of the way from the cotton seed to the finished product. The fair trade certifications are issued by FLO-CERT of Germany and ECOCERT of France. Every fiber of cotton used by Coyuchi is produced in accordance with IFOAM growing and processing standards. SKAL, a Netherlands-based certifier, oversees the cotton grown for Coyuchi.
The silky feel of the Coyuchi sateen fabric is ideal for cool weather sleeping, with or without a top sheet. Twill weave construction keeps it wrinkle resistant and our Coyuchi duvet cover is properly finished with coconut shell buttons at the foot. Their soft feel and drape make them an ideal and sensous cool climate sheet. The Coyuchi duvet cover is sewn with a button closure on a placket which folds to the inside so it is not visible. The fold-over button feature allows these duvet covers to be reversible.
The organic cotton fabric is preshrunk using a steam process, resulting in a finished product that keeps its original measurement even after repeated washings. White duvet covers are whitened with hydrogen peroxide rather than chlorine bleach. Natural duvet covers are not treated, as Natural is the natural color of organic cotton. Because Natural is 100% natural virgin fabric, we recommend this color option for people who prefer untreated fabrics.
