Handmade in the United States, this Mattress Protector is made from thick-felted 100% woven natural wool. The wool fabric itself, plus the way it’s woven, makes these mattress protectors naturally water repellent to help protect your mattress without any harmful chemicals. The wool in this product is sourced in the Pacific Northwest of the United States from farmers who participate in the Sustainable Wool Program, producing high quality ultra clean wool from sheep flocks that are managed in a humane ethical way and in a chemical-free thoughtful environment. These mattress protectors are compatible with any depth mattress. The cover sits on top of the mattress. With a fitted sheet on top of the mattress pad, they do not slip but stay nicely and evenly on the mattress. The manufacturer has found that this design provides a better fit and works better than protectors which are fitted to account for any depth mattress since the fitted ones can either be too tight or have extra material that slips around if the mattress is too deep or not deep enough. Clean only according to special instructions provided.
