The manufacturer of Environotes was founded over 100 years ago and is one of the oldest, largest, and greenest independently owned manufacturers of notebooks in America. They’re proud of their high quality, American-made / American-recycled products and the jobs they create in the USA.
Roaring Spring Paper collects, separates, and recycles any waste materials- like paper, plastic, metal and cardboard— that are used in the manufacturing of their notebooks. These materials are then turned into useful products again. This company-wide recycling program diverts about 2.7 million pounds of scrap materials away from landfills and back into the recycling stream, reducing their landfill waste by 98%!
The paper they use to make their notebooks is also one of the most renewable and recycled resources available. Every product in the Environotes line is made from paper that contains a minimum of 30% Post Consumer Waste (PCW) paper. PCW is important because it’s paper that’s ALREADY been used, recycled, and used again. It keeps even more paper out of landfills while protecting old growth forests from being cut down. The 30% PCW is an important percentage to watch in recycled notebooks because it is the U.S. Government’s standard on what is a REAL recycled product.
Roaring Spring Paper Products is proud of their heritage as a company and they plan on being good stewards of the environment—and their community--for the next century to come.
