It is compatible with any of the CQ-1000 Dechlorinating Shower Filters and its clear, polycarbonate exterior is perfect for getting an inside look at the filtering process. This filter will leave your skin and hair feeling and looking healthier, improve lathering and sudsing, and provide relief from dry, irritated skin caused by chlorine in your water. The dechlorinating shower filter removes 90% or more of chlorine from shower water and is great for anyone with sensitive skin! Chlorine, considered one of the most toxic chemicals found in nature, is universally used by the local municipal water supply to reduce and kill bacteria and viruses found in water systems. The chlorinated water from a hot shower is not only a strong oxidizer that can irritate the skin and hair, cause cell deterioration, and offset ph balance, but toxic shower steam can also aggravate the respiratory system and the eyes. Rainshow’r KDF (atomized brass) filters convert chlorine in shower water into a harmless soluble chloride that washes out of the filter and is harmless to humans. These filters offer superior dechlorinating capability and last from six to nine months – much longer than most GAC (granular-activated carbon) filters. In addition, Rainshow’r filters are easy-to-install, built with name brand, high-quality shower heads, and are made with crystalline quartz (to reduce surface tension) for an energy-enhanced shower and exceptional lathering. This Clear Polycarbonate filter is also available in white, ABS Plastic. There is no technical difference other than one can see through the clear plastic model to view the dirt being filtered out. The filter housing and attached shower head are warranted for one year from date of purchase. The filter cartridge is warranted for 90 days from date of purchase. Rainshow’r will repair or replace any product that fails to perform due to faulty material or workmanship. Items not covered under the warranty include damage due to misuse, improper maintenance, improper installation, excessive water pressure or temperature, freezing or general misapplication of filter's use and purpose. To effect and validate the warranty, fill out and return the attached warranty card to Rainshow'r within 15 days of purchase. Which Rainshow'r Filter to Get? Some Major Differences Summarized: CQ-1000: The CQ-1000 filter has a cartridge that is replaceable- each cartridge has a 6-9 month life span. This is the only model that has a replaceable cartridge option. Replacement cartridges come in clear and white (no technical differences) RS-502: lasts 15-18 months and then must be fully replaced. This model requires that you unscrew and clean it out once per month (backflushing). New Century: lasts for 1 year after which time it must be replaced. No need for backflushing. |
