Each water bottle includes a polypropylene top. Adaptors and/or additional tops are also available for purchase separately. Let's be real. Sometimes you want to ditch the backpack, the messenger bag or the briefcase and go light. When itty bitty bags, purses and even pockets call for an equally small water bottle, the 12oz Klean Kanteen™ Wide is a perfect fit. It's a little shorter and more compact than the Klean Kanteen™ Classic and the 2-inch wide mouth gives it a Mason jar feel. Plus the extra wide opening makes it easy to fill and clean. It's an ideal size for juice and other naturally sweet drinks, and it also works great as a flask. Because it's made from food-grade stainless steel, these acidic beverages won't damage or corrode the metal. It comes with a Stainless Loop Cap that works seamlessly with the Kanteen™ S-Biner. Or you can opt for the swank and functional Flip D-Ring Cap, available as an accessory. Both caps have a universal thread design and are 100% stainless steel on the inside, so your drinks never touch plastic. In fact, the only plastic on the Klean Kanteen™ Wide is on the outside of the cap; and of course it's made of BPA-free polypropylene (pp#5). All Klean Kanteen™ products are made from high quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel that's totally free of BPA and other toxins. Because stainless steel itself is safe, Klean Kanteen doesn't need to coat the inside of their bottles with a plastic or epoxy lining, which is one of the main differences between a stainless steel Klean Kanteen™ and aluminum bottles. Food-grade stainless steel is used in the brewing, food and winemaking industries too. It's the material of choice because it doesn't retain or impart flavors. No matter how many times you refill it, no matter what you put into it, your Klean Kanteen™ Wide will keep your drinks fresh, crisp and clean tasting. Features:

If you take care of it, it may very well last your lifetime. Here are a few tips to help keep your bottle fresh and clean over the long haul. Washing Your Bottle
Protecting the Paint on Colored Bottles When Klean Kanteen debuted their colored bottles, the most important thing to them was to find a safe and durable paint that also looked dynamite. They reviewed and tested dozens of different paints and selected an acrylic paint that contains no toxins or lead. Just like anything that's painted, it is possible to chip or scratch the paint on your colored Klean Kanteen™ bottles. To prolong the life of your paint, handwash your bottle and don't use abrasive agents to clean it. Colored Bottles and Kids or Toddlers Klean Kanteen also heard from some parents that their child has chewed on a colored bottle and ingested some of the paint. If this happens, don't worry, the paint is perfectly safe. Though our paint is safe, Klean Kanteen recommends their stainless steel finish bottles for small children who like to chew on things. |
